Guest House Diel

1 Very convenient self-check-in. 2 Great location, very close to the bus station. 3 Dorm-style room featuring a spacious work desk. 4 Huge kitchen (though I didn't use it).

1 Fan only, no air conditioning. 2 Room setup error: I was provided two bed sheets instead of a duvet cover. There were no staff on site, but it wasn't a major issue for a one-night stay. 3 Small shared bathrooms and shower rooms, which require extra attention to ventilation.

Good location . Quiet but not far from restaurants and bars and old town . Close to bus station . . BUT . Approx 150 stairs to climb on the way .

Hosts said accommodation was over booked and didn't have a room available . Only the apartment was left that initially she wanted to charge more for . . . After standing our ground that that is what we booked and had already paid for . . We was then given 1 room in the apartment and use of the shared bathroom.at the same price we had already paid . . We was asked not to use the rest of the apartment and not to touch the extra 3rd bed in the room . . Which was not an issue . The issue was resolved at no extra cost . I think this may be a regular issue with booking issues but did not feel it was right to be paying extra for more than we needed for a 1 night stay . Just somewhere to put our heads .

Really friendly and helpful owner. Apartment was very clean and close to the centre. All amentities were on hand to cook, wash, sleep. There was even a washer and tumble dryer available too.

There was no coffee in the room but a trip to the local shop soon sorted that as all the facilities to make a drink/food was available in the room.

The beds are uncomfortable and the room comes with no amenities, including no fridge, no aircondition, a terribly placed TV and one hairdryer attached to the wall in the central hall. The place is also rather noisy. There was only one other guest when I was staying there and even then it was a bit of a problem.

The location is excellent. You may not have the picturesque view you may get if you stayed in the old town, but it is much more affordable and it is only 10-15 minutes’ walk from the old town – and it is very close to the south bus station if you need it. The hosts were also very kind.
