Everything was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. We were mainly out on tours so we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. The pool was good. I had it to myself most times. (The pool bar was opened regardless) The hotel was in a good location, close to amenities.
The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. It wasn't very westerny. I was gobsmacked there was no eggs or bacon. I only found out later that you could order eggs after seeing another patron approach the receptionist and then had eggs delivered.

Great location in tge heart of Siem Reap and good facilities. Lots of options with restaurants, spas etc around. Good breakfast.
Staff seemed to be just going through their job, not too friendly.

The room was very spacious, with a huge king sized bed and a nice seating area with sofas/day bed and table. There was a lot of natural light, but good block-out curtains, and everything was very clean and tidy with no clutter. The bathroom facilities all worked well; nice water pressure in the shower and good sized bathtub for a soak.
The breakfast was nice, with fresh and tasty fruit, cereal and salad items, along with a mixture of hot asian and western options. The congee and soups were delicious, as were the scrambled eggs cooked to order. There was sliced white bread, but no other bakery options. The juice is very sweet fruit-flavoured drinks, but the coffee is not bad.
The staff appeared attentive, with kind smiles and quick to open doors for you. They can organise tours and taxis for you.
The location is perfect - a 5 min walk to markets and night life, but far enough to be very quiet. Many eateries and spas and corner stores around. I highly recommend the restaurant on the corner for great variety of food and drinks (very cheap, no upset stomach) and people watching. Spa on the corner is also the best I experienced after trying a few.
I requested a second room key a few times and they asked for the $10 deposit but then the 'system' wasn't working to allocate me one. I gave up. I also requested an iron, and it took a second request to get one delivered after waiting an hour. FYI the TV only works for your own subscriptions and you have to sign in; plugging in an external Chrome box or Fire stick doesn't work as the hotel don't have the TV remote. Tried to watch the regular TV (we like to get a feel for the location with local channels) but there was no TV option available contrary to the instructions the remove was sitting on. Asked about this, and eventually someone arrived to take a look and then left and then came back later to add them. Didn't end up using the pool, felt a bit uncomfortable up there with the bar staff offering menus and standing around waiting to serve us and giving us menus after we'd said we were just there to enjoy the pool.
If you are going to see the temples for sunrise, make sure you request a packed breakfast before 5pm the next day. I missed this instruction (but it seemed a bit strange given Siem Reap is a bit of a 24/7 kinda place).
These were all little things, but stood out compared to other hotels that have had irons provided, tv that works, two keys provided for couples, and generally reception staff who seem to want to help you.

The hotel room was very nice and was clean. The hotel upgraded me for free. The staff was good and very accomodating. That's where the good stuff ended.
The hot water was not good. It was Luke-warm at best. Breakfast was your normal Asian style with eggs and omelet offered but they definitely don't cater to western guests. The wifi was pretty much non-existent. It was just a little better than dial-up. You could not stream. The hotel said it's standard for Siem Reap. There were few outlets and not conveniently located. I had to use an adapter to charge my computer, unlike in Phnom Penh. Laundry was very expensive compared to similar properties in Phnom Penh. I'm sure at one time this hotel was a jewel but showing age now. It could be brought up to modern standards.
