Schloss Münchenwiler

Gorgeous location, and the old part of the building is beautiful. The games room and lounge is a lovely touch. The breakfast was decent, with nice fresh bread and jams.

Our room (standard double) in the guest house building felt like a university dorm transported into better surroundings - a plain, rectangular room with poor lighting and a drop-in cubicle shower. Not what you expect at this price point. It's also a 20-minute walk from the nearest regularly-served public transport stop; a shuttle or taxi service should be in operation.

Chambre d’hôtes sombre, le standard était bel et bien très standard

It’s a lovely place that is definitely worth a visit. The rooms and surroundings are very peaceful, clean, and well maintained.

The individual rooms are really quite small and very basic, particularly when it comes to the bathroom. You have everything you need, very clean, but the overall setup feels rather spartan. Given the beautiful castle setting, stepping into such a basic room feels like quite a contrast and somewhat inconsistent with the overall atmosphere of the property. I mean, you go for a working week, ok, but definetively not if I am planning to have a vacation time where I might need a space to relax, to enjoy in a room.

Hotel in een fraaie landelijke omgeving. Kan aan mij liggen, maar ik dacht een kamer in een 'Schloss' geboekt te hebben. Kreeg echter een tamelijk klein 'achterafkamertje' in een bijgebouw toegewezen: het "hokje" was vermoedelijk (gerelateerd aan de uitrusting) bedoeld voor alleen reizende invalide personen. Personeel was vriendelijk genoeg. Ontbijt was niet verkeerd, maar niet erg gevarieerd. Wat ik even vergeten was: Zwitserland heeft andere stopcontacten! Kon mijn apparatuur niet aansluiten c.q. opladen...

Geen fijne/ruime kamer. Geen prettig bed (matig geslapen). Afgezien van die andere Zwitserse (3 weg) stopcontacten: er waren überhaupt weinig stopcontacten, ook weinig lichtpunten. De douche was (kennelijk) bedoeld voor invalide personen (geen drempels en zo), maar de douchevloer was spekglad. Mede door het goedkope douchegordijn veroorzaakte douchen een behoorlijk waterballet.
