We loved the rustic feel of the property. It felt grown up and peaceful, away from the madness of San Antonio. Pulling into the driveway and seeing the little garden oasis in the middle of the hotel was lovely. It all lights up at night too.
The view from the restaurant balcony was breathtaking. The rooms were spotless and lovely and clean. Plus we loved the free toiletries which smelled amazing.
Just a few niggles. One was the minimum spend in the restaurant to sit on a particular front row table applied to the hotel guests, we thought that maybe as we were staying there as guests and had paid quite a bit over the usual amount for a hotel of that star rating they could maybe lifted that.
However it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again as we really did enjoy the ambiance.

Great location, food, restaurant and staff, the rooms less so.
Rooms are small and badly designed. No storage space and items like the bedside tables are so tiny, they are impractical. Although not expensive, it didn’t feel like particularly good value for an out of season stay compared to other alternatives.
