We really liked our time there. It is a beautiful place with comfortable rooms and a great view.
We ordered the dinner menu without asking for the price before and ended with a far higher bill than we spent in any other place in the Douro for a comparable or better dinner experience.

The grounds and hotel are absolutely stunning. We spent an entire day lounging by the pool. The views from our room and the common areas were gorgeous. The food was the best we had during our entire say in Portugal which included Porto and Lisbon. The entire stay was made perfect by Angela, her sister Anabella and their wonderful mother. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time there.

Although we had a very short stay, we absolutely enjoyed our experience at Quinta da Marka. The attention to the guests' needs is very high, without being overwhelming. The location is incredible, the view over the river is spectacular, and I will remember for a long time the sunrise I watched from the terrace. We will definitely return!

Everything about this hotel was spectacular. Perfect location to explore the Duoro valley, breath-taking views from the pool, comfortable beds, incredible hospitality start to finish. This was the highlight of our trip to Portugal and we will absolutely be back!
