Banana Garden Hoi An

We loved our room. It had a balcony, it was a connecting room and in the corner so it felt very private and quiet. It was clean, especially the bathroom which is a big plus for us. Though it's not in the center of Hoi An Old Town, the location is perfect to avoid traffic and noise but still near enough to feel safe to go home late at night. Lots of restaurants that are just walking distance. Will definitely recommend!

We were mostly just disappointed that it wasn't clear that the elevator isn't for all. So depending on which building your room will be, some may not have an elevator. The staff were very nice and brought all our luggage to our room in the 3rd floor but we really felt bad for the person carrying all of them since he was going back and forth with our heavy luggage. It may not be ideal for senior citizens too because of this reason. But, still a wonderful stay here.

Confusing with free water on top. But charged waters in the fridge. Not well communicated, but probably lost in translation.

The staff are definitely the best thing about this place. They were happy to do anything they could to help. The breakfast was also pretty good.

We had 2 rooms, 1 had a digital TV and the other had an old TV with only analog reception which meant the picture quality was poor and the sound didn’t work. The sheets had bugs in them (not bed bugs thanks goodness) which were a horrible to need to check for each night. The rooms themselves are in need of repair- large cracks in the tiles in the shower, patches of water damage on the walls, door frames that were split open and doors that were swollen from water damage and didn’t close properly. The hot water was not constant and one second it was lovely and warm and the next it was scalding hot, only to go back a few seconds later. The most concerning thing was that the cleaning staff left the ground floor balcony door unlocked every time they cleaned despite being asked to lock it via reception. With no in room safe this was a concerning security risk. The pools are very small and it gets crowded quickly. The pool chairs are moldy and could use a good clean.
