When we booked the Shandwick Inn we saw it included breakfast We expected a cooked or continental breakfast but we got a breakfast in a bag which was left outside our bedroom door late in the evening The contents of the bag were okay but the lack of choice meant there were several items in each bag which we would not eat The tap in our room(No3) was extremely stiff and difficult to move There was a heated towel rail in the bathroom but the on/off switch is in the bedroom and is not marked as such There are no staff in the Inn overnight The car park is in need of maintenance

Evening Meal in restaurant was excellent

It’s is set in a beautiful part of the world

The decor was a bit tired and it’s right above a noisy restaurant, to be fair I’ve had a lot lot more from places I’ve stayed for a lot less , I thought it was overpriced for what we had but it was clean and comfy .
