Corporate Keys - Freshwater Place

The location of the apartment was excellent, with easy access to restaurants, cafés and shops, and it was conveniently located close to many Melbourne attractions.

From the time of booking until arrival, I received more than 20 emails, many of which appeared to be duplicated between Booking.com and Corporate Keys. The process was confusing and poorly coordinated. Although I paid for the accommodation through Booking.com, I then had to separately contact Corporate Keys to provide my contact details, pay a security deposit, and make an additional payment for parking. The check-in process was particularly frustrating. I was told that if we arrived earlier than expected, I should call when we were close to the property, which I did. I was then informed that the property manager would meet us in the lobby. When I arrived, I couldn't access the lobby because the building required key access. I also had no idea who the property manager was or what they looked like. I contacted the call centre again and was told they could provide the property manager's contact details so I could call them directly. I refused, as this would have been the third phone call I'd made within 30 minutes simply to obtain the keys. As a guest, I don't believe it should be my responsibility to coordinate communication between the call centre and the property manager. There appeared to be a lack of communication between the two, which made an already frustrating situation worse. Eventually, the property manager called me asking where I was because she was waiting for me. I explained that I had no way of knowing who she was and couldn't access the building to find her. To make matters worse, the apartment itself was not as clean as expected. While it wasn't terrible, it certainly did not meet the standard I would expect from a professionally managed accommodation provider. Overall, the location was the standout feature of this property.
