Jian Shan Hotel

I reserved this hotel because of the older aesthetic which appealed to me and because it was a last minute option for me in Taiwan. The staff were very accommodating. My room was clean and the neighbourhood was in a mostly-convenient location between two MTR stations on the red and orange lines.

I knew there were no elevators, and this was not an issue for me. But if you are not able-bodied then you should not stay here as there are only stairs. The tap in my bathroom only offered cold water. The pillows were uncomfortable.

I loved the location. There was a laundromat across the road which was so easy to use and many shops and restaurants nearby. I found it easy way to walk to a lot of places from there. The room was cute and comfortable, especially for a solo traveller. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff and clean room. The design is tasteful, bit of old, bit of new. The room and the hotel were quiet, so great for light sleepers. We liked the area too with its small local eateries.

The room was spacious but had very little places to organize your stuff. A shelf in the bathroom and near the sink, a bit more hanging space and a ledge under the tv would make it infinitely easier and prevent you from literally having your live from your suitcase.

The very friendly and very helpful staff. Helped us book a taxi and carry luggage to the taxi. The hotel has old memories, however the light is too dim along the stairs. no slipper for bathroom use cos toilet once took bath , the floor is always wet, unable to walk in again without wet my feet and is cold weather v cold floor. If a pair of plastic slipper provided will be great. No place to hang our clothes in toilet and no place to put our tooth paste The bed is too small for couples
