Yeah Barcelona Hostel

The hostel is located right in the heart of Barcelona, being a few blocks down the Sagrada Família, Casa Batló and many other interesting sites. Cleaning team doesn’t save efforts to make the rooms pristine every day, specially in the bathroom, having in mind that some guests made it completely wet every single day. Kitchen is very well equipped, so in case you want to make your own food, you will find everything you need. I’ve got a 6 bed apartment with a very nice view to Tibidabo mountain, and the sun oriented facade made the experience even better. I really enjoyed the views! In my opinion, the property is very good, even though it is quite expensive for a hostel! But, we’re in Barcelona, so…

As I said, the some guests, apparently, don’t know how to shower properly. Every single day, our bathroom looked like a swamp because some of them managed to throw water everywhere. I think the hostel team should really rethink about the shower curtain and finally install a proper shower door. The elevator is quite old, being very slow and outdated. It does not have a “smart” system, so during busy hours you can wait 2 to 3 minutes for it to get to your floor, even though is just a 7 story tall building.

Nice big rooms with attached washrooms. The hostel overall was clean and well maintained.

Nothing to say here, I stayed for only one day.

Rooms are very tidy and comfortable, and location is amazing, it felt very safe for me since I traveled alone.

My experience was average. The reception staff was inconsistent: sometimes they greeted guests warmly, and sometimes they did not. Upon arrival, I was only informed that I could pay for breakfast and that there was a different group activity every evening. However, nobody explained the other facilities available, such as the common areas or whether I was allowed to use the kitchen. I initially thought these areas were only for guests who purchased breakfast or dinner. When I used the kitchen, some staff members were arguing or speaking loudly about their complaints, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. In general, the staff rarely smiled, and the overall environment did not feel particularly welcoming. I believe there is room for improvement, especially in terms of communication with guests and creating a friendlier atmosphere. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend staying here.
