Plume of Feathers

The room was super comfortable and clean and the location was beautiful and really handy for the wedding we were going to. We had dinner in the pub and the portions were very generous and food was good. Breakfast was again generous portions. Staff were all so lovely, friendly and helpful.

There was quite a strong smell of cooking food in the corridors of the accommodation. Breakfast was food but a bit greasy / fried for my tastes.

There wasn’t, every think we wanted for value of the money

The meals were fantastic with a very rustic menu for the evening meals and the breakfasts were excellent value for money with attention to detail standing out. Car parking is plentiful and the setting is like a picture postcard Nothing was too much trouble for Luke in the evening or the owner who created the breakfast and checkout experience

The stairs to the room are a bit steep so not suitable for disabled people who cant climb stairs. I use a walking stick and am in my 60s and i managed ok by taking my time

Instruction regarding the parking was no existent. Parked on a field with other customers and was told not to park there and had to move ( this could have been communicated on arrival instead of watching us park walk to pub and then told). Access to the main road coming out or in was dangerous as lane was was virtually hair-pin and was on a blind bend on the main road, so had to turn and then reverse back out on to main road. Room was meant to be a river view according to booking.com, however it wasnt. Not many teabags or milk left for drinks had to go out and buy our own. Would not stay again - more pubs up the road in Blagdon Village that serve food on a sunday evening.
