B&B La Terrazza Napoli

La Terrazza is about 12-15 mins walk from Napoli Centrale Station. We were staying in Sorrento and took the Campania Express, for a 1 night stopover. There are some good restaurants and bars within a short walk - Valentina recommended La Trattoria Fedele, which is only a couple of mins away and it was a good choice. The b&b is on the 5th floor - there are stairs but the lift is much easier. Although it is not signposted from the street, there is an intercom just inside the archway. You buzz them, they will open the metal door on the left and get the lift to the 5th. Valentina and Dario are great hosts, Valentina was a mine of information on things to do and see, plus recommendations for dining. The rooms are large and comfortable, with air conditioning and a fridge stocked with Peroni, wine and water (all very reasonably priced, too). The breakfast next morning was really filling, very good choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread, cheese, meats, cherry tomatoes and omelettes cooked to order. All served sitting outside with views of a now disused 13th century church. Sights nearby include the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta (and numerous other churches) and the Centro Storico including the famous Spaccanapoli street. After our meal, we had a drink in the Ristorante O'Vico 1947. Good atmosphere, sitting outside, they provided cushions to sit on the steps behind when the tables were full. I'd recommend this highly to anyone staying in Naples and would not hesitate to stay again.

We loved the clean facilities, private bedroom and bathroom, and the beautiful terrace for breakfast. Additionally, the property was in a great location, just a short 10-15 min walk to train station and ferry ports.

Great location in centre of the Historic area. Although in a busy area the property itself was very quiet. . Only 3 rooms which suited us as it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast on the patio was served by our two wonderful owners, Valentina and Dario. Darios omelettes were the best. 👍 The information we were given by Valentina about places to visit, how to get there etc was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about Naples. We enjoyed chatting to her about the history of Naples, the way of life and the changes to the city over the years. the churches, museums areas to visit. Best times to visit, best restaurants and best beers.🤣 She was always on hand and could be reached by what’s app if any queries which was very helpful to us. Nothing was a problem for her. She sent directions on Google map to us on various occasions and booked tickets for the excursions we were interested in and arranged transport if needed.

There was an elevator to the top floor where the property was which I thought was very quirky but always on my mind coming back at night wondering if it would be working. Did mind the stairs down but would not have enjoyed walking up. Luckily we had no problem with it when we stayed there. I’m confident that Valentina would sort it out quickly if necessary . The property is basic but has lovely touches. We were made to feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable. The fridge was stocked up every day if needed. The drinks available were very reasonable. Air conditioning in room was great especially as the temperatures outside were in the mid 30s.

Location And great host and very helpful Valentina! Nice breakfast on the roof top. Air conditioning worked great.
