APA is a hotel chain that has done well by minimizing room size, even by Japanese standards. Tiny rooms = low prices. The breakfast includes a big variety of mostly (but not all) Japanese dishes. The APA Sugamoe is near two subway lines (one of them the ideally useful JR loop) AND is adjacent to a wonderful old-style Japanese street market. I have stayed there 3 times and would go again.
Limited English. But translation devices help. You'll manage to communicate one way or another.

The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. The front desk did a good job.

Room size was satisfactory for twin room that i stayed. comfy bed, complete room amenities. I especially like the info update on hotel tv (e.g. washing machine availability and live status)
I booked 2 rooms but they were on different floors. partly my fault as i didn't include in the request at the time of booking

Location, bath, quiet
Bed needs new frame and mattress. Also cigarette smoke entered room through vents. I’ve stayed here several times before over the last several years so am disappointed by my experience this time.
