Very comfortable and clean.

The room was a good size.The bed was large and very comfortable. We appreciated having a stovetop and a decent sized bar fridge. Parking was right in front of our unit.

The stovetop doesn’t operate without the range hood going at full blast, which is incredibly loud and annoying - there’s no option to turn it down. This makes cooking unpleasant. Luckily, we were only staying one night. The large bathroom has no shower curtain, so the floor gets quite wet overall.

The room was large and has been completely remodelled. The kitchenette and living room area was excellent. Clean and a large comfortable bed. It was positioned in the main street and close to shops and the pub which served a good meal.

The signage to the unit was very poor, we drove past twice before seeing the entry. The units are down a driveway and the sign is faded. This means travellers would miss seeing the units are there. The site is unmanned which I was aware when booking. You obtain the key from a locked box, this however didn’t seem to be a problem. The bathroom is large but needs to have a screen or curtain for the shower as water goes everywhere. It also was not fully updated like the rest of the into so the tile grout could have been cleaner - maybe redone to create a cleaner look if the price of remodelling was too much.

Private and quiet comfortable space.

No reception upon arrival, having to ring up to gain access which reduced personal quality experience. Unenclossed shower was a new experience. Dearest of the hotels that we used on our South Island trip.
