Marè Rooms Bari old town center

Accessibility to old town& restaurants was very good.

Mare was such a lovely host. She was very kind, caring, generous. I was traveling solo, so she was extra attentive. She came by to see if I needed anything or had any questions. She gave me some great ideas & options. My accommodations were clean & nice, with the perfect location in Old Town. I would highly recommend as a 10/10. Susan Wallen

Very convienent if you want to stay in old town. We stayed in the ground floor and it is a little small for two people, but workable n

Some water pressure issues but resolved promptly

Good location, and interesting property

After booking the room we received a note saying it would cost us 5 euros if we checked in after 1 pm. We arrived before 1:00pm and the rooms were not available then anyhow. We were then told we had to pay 9 euros, for a city tourist tax. Which we paid and were not provided a receipt. The host who we were talking to did not speak English and we were talking to the owner/manager (?) phone. Pretty sure the 9 euro charge was a bogus rip-off. No mention was made of this in the listing and online payment. Nor did we pay a similar tariff at a separate lodging we stayed at in Bari. There was a coffee machine but we did not use it as it was filled with old sludge
