The staff member was friendly and explained all the great places to visit in Kustatsu. The tatami lounge area was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was perfect, with bus station, supermarket and convenience stores a short walk away. The nextdoor supermarket has a great selection of sashimi and freshly made foods like tempura and bentos too.
When the 6 person dorm was full, the lounge felt a bit crowded.

Very good location with easy access to the main part of the town.
Being close to a supermarket and offering a kitchen was really valuable.
We arrived totally damp from the rain and the staff was very kind to offer space and some gear to help us to dry our clothes. Totally recommended.
The bed curtains could be a little bit more protective from the room light, and maybe slightly comfier pillows.
But im really being picky here, To be honest, there is no actual complaint.

Great looking place on a good location and nice host.
No towels included. No curtains on the windows so you wake up at first light. It's a bit noisy due to the thin walls. Biggest letdown for me personally were the really thin futon mattresses. My back hurt really bad and couldn't get back to sleep at 3.30AM.
