Le Château d'Asnières en Bessin

We had a truly wonderful stay. The owner greeted us outside when we arrived, which immediately made us feel welcome. He was incredibly friendly, engaging, and helpful throughout our visit. He gave us great recommendations for places to see, suggested restaurants, and even made a reservation for us, which we really appreciated. Although the house is quite old, it is clean, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were the only guests at breakfast, and while it was simple, it had everything we needed. The coffee was especially good. One of the things that stood out most was the owner's genuine hospitality. He welcomed us back in the evenings and always took an interest in how our day had been, which made our stay feel very personal and special. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, friendly, and authentic experience.

The owner lives in the house as well, which may mean slightly less privacy for some guests. However, we found this added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere and made the experience feel more personal.

Oh my goodness if you want to experience the life of lord and lady of a 17th century Château you could not ask for a better place to stay. Each room retains the beautiful historical style of the period, and when we came down to breakfast in the gorgeous dining room we almost felt like royalty! The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, and had some great tips for exploring the nearby war memorials, which are only ten minutes away. They also reserved us a table at a nearby restaurant (La Maree) which serves really delicious fresh seafood and also had great service. We had a fantastic stay and we highly recommend a stay at this gorgeous Château!

Ideally located in a beautiful neighborhood, with easy access for driving along the Normandy beaches.

There was a lack of air circulation on a warm day, which is quite understandable for a century-old home.
