Excellent location in Portree with 7 min walk to town center. Spacious kitchen, dining and living rooms. 3 bathrooms - two of three bathrooms are off two of three bedrooms located on second floor. There is a third bathroom with shower on main floor so good for large groups. Milk, a loaf of bread and some chocolate were provided on arrival which was very thoughtful.

Unfortunately, brand new washer malfunctioned so we lost access to its use for the rest of our three night stay. The owner was excellent and very prompt in response to my inquiry. He provided an alternative suggestion in the form of use of nearby public laundry facilities while he arranged for the machine to be dealt with. He also had a de-humidifier on site that aided in drying the clothes.

Lovely house in great location. An easy walk into the centre of Skye.

We had a glitch with the cleaning, but it was thankfully resolved. One of the bathrooms was hard to locate. It was through a wardrobe door. A sign would have been useful.

Location met our needs but we arrived in slight drizzle so property name board was a little difficult to read on arrival. The property was appropriate to our needs and the laundry facilities worked well, much needed under the circumstances.

Two of us based in the twin bedroom didn't appreciate being woken at about 4am with the smoke detector emanating single beeps consistent with a 'low battery' indicator. Just to be safe we checked property to see if this was a real problem but gladly it wasn't. However as alarm was out of reach so we couldn't disable system. Message was sent to owners via booking.com. The other observation is that we felt the lighting in the reception room needs attention. This was not a negative as far as we were concerned because neveer reall used it but future guests might be if staying more than a night.

Location was superb.
