I spent 1 month in Huaraz and Big Mountain Hostel became my home. Centrally located with all comforts you can expect. Great mountain lover/climbing community.
Best value for money.
That some people are very unreasonable and have no manners regarding treating the staff. So mind the negative comments...

Good location, a couple common places
There's no hand soap anywhere; I think it's a basic necessity in every hostel. Especially to prevent diseases.
The climbing wall is a joke and as good as not existing; it needs to be rebuilt with possible routes and more holds

Great location, affordable dormitories

It’s good to have common areas and the bathroom in the room was reasonably clean. The location is central to shops and buses.
Personally I did not sleep well here, through a lack of comfort in the beds, and also poor ventilation, noise travelling from common areas. Poor breakfast, kitchen frequently messy.
