Wow! What a room! I stayed in the Penthouse (it was the only room available), and loved my stay. I would've been happy to stay even longer. The lounge room with kitchenette is large and spacious - with a lounge, small dining table, full size fridge, and cooking facilities. A large bathroom with double vanity. The bedroom was equally huge, with large bed, daybed, desk and cupboard (note the full length mirror is inside the cupboard). It also had iron and ironing board which was very useful. The windows look out over rooftops, with views of the castle from both the bedroom and lounge, which is lovely to see in the evening when it is all lit up. The building itself is quite historical and grand. Check-in was easy (the front desk was staffed until around 8-9pm, so you will need to let them know if checking in late), and they provided lots of information about the surrounding area, including recommendations for food and sites etc. Also - I was pleased to find there was a lift and so didn't have to lug my suitcase up 3-4 flights of stairs. The location is also amazing! 1min walk from the Ljubljanica (river) which is lined with restaurants and shops. So close to everything! It was also 2-3min walk from the bus stop that goes to the central bus station (which is where you can catch a bus to other areas of Slovenia or international buses and the airport).

Nothing too significant - I would have loved a washing machine in the bathroom (it looks like there used to be one - definitely space for one). I had to find a laundromat which was about 15min walk away - no big deal, but would've been great if had the option of washing in the apartment. The hot water system is a storage tank, so it does run out and needs to heat up again. So just be mindful if there are multiple people having showers. I also found the bed was a bit creaky. It was comfortable enough, but would've been nice to not creak when moving around.

It was a privilege to stay in the Superior Apartment. The rooms had splendour, they were clean, the kitchenette and bathroom were perfect for our needs and the bed was super, super comfortable. The staff working the reception could not have been more accommodating or helpful - they were a delight. The apartment was perfectly located in the city centre, very close to the main square and the vast array of eateries and shops in the centre and along the waterfront. Ljublijana itself is our new favourite city. It has a wow factor around every corner, but also a vibe and a soul and the people were just so, so warm and friendly.

There really isn't anything not to like about the accommodation, or the city. If I was being super picky, I might suggest the televisions in the rooms could be a little larger, but given we were hardly indoors it really didn't matter.
