Hope Hostels, Varkala - North Cliff, Sea View

Its located right on the cliff and it is cheap. The lockers seemed reliable.

Their cafe was a bit expensive for its quality. The AC was not up to the mark. The dorm rooms were old. The lighting made it much worse. I had to chase off a crow trying to eat my food in the common area. The hostel had no vibe(might be because it was a weekday).

Amazing place, just near the Helipad. The common area is the highlight, great place to socialise, good vibes.

I booked this hostel by just going there first. The guy on reception show me the dorm. Room was ok type. I mean not as new. Its old rooms and the curtains are old. I paid 627/- but it should be around 300/- as the room it was. Moreover locker facility was there in which i paid 500/- security amd input 60ltr bag in it easily. You can put 80 ltr as well there. Vibe was ok. Common area was good but the hostel vibe was missing. I am not complaining but it could be made more good. Must try clifton hostel someboytold me. I spent next night in freedom hostel. Very good vibe. Near and clean. The hostel had good host even helped me to look the things to explore in varkala. It was very good. Property was of freedom hostel was very good. I paid 681/- per night.

Staf was not as good as it should be. Because staff should be cooperative in full not to restrict. I checked out my luggage before given time as inread the comments in booking section of booking dot com. But as i told them that i have checkout today they frequently insisted to pik my luggage from the room but my luggage was in locker so i told them(hope hostel) to give my security and i handed over the locker key to them. On the other hand in freedom hostel, they given their own lock to me free of cost. My overall experience with hopes hostel is 4 and in freedom hostel is 8 out of 10.
