This was the most valuable, rememberable stay we had in Ecuador. We loved it! The location, and the drive towards it, is breath taking. The cabin is fantastic, build like in the old days, but with todays modern facilities. It is realy spacious, sleeps 6 if you like. The Italian volunteers were on premise, and they were oh so kind. They explained about their good work and about the Esperanza community. We met with some of the people, who were all very kind and lovable. We have lots of respect for the lady that runs the kitchen and the bank office (I don't remember if it was Francesca, Florence...?). She's a power woman! We got to see the milk factory inside, visited the community building, met de manager there, and visited the school. The kids in the highest class (11-12 years) grabbed their instruments and played us some songs. If people ask about how our vacation was, this is what we tell them about.

We already loved it, but with some small adjustments it can be even better. We were here in November, quite cold at night. The wooden stove doesn't last through the night. Also, we're not a big fan of the smell of it. It would be nice if there's something to keep the place warm in the morning, when you wake up.

Ho soggiornato con il mio partner nel nostro viaggio di nozze, è il posto ideale per vivere le tradizioni e la cultura dell’Ecuador dal suo interno, conoscere e vivere la comunità Esperanza e le sue tradizioni (ancora vive) e la sua storia (con una piccola impronta Italiana). La casa sembra una piccola baita dí montagna Italiana, tutta in legno e con tutti i confort, ideale anche per famiglie. Ha una piccola stufa a legna per riscaldare la stanza (perché si, come altitudine si sta un po’ alti e fa un pochino freddo). Panorama stupendo, quando è limpido si vedono tutti i vulcani inclusa la vetta del Cimborazo. La comunità produce formaggio e organizzano attività (consigliate) di mungitura delle loro mucche all’alba, passeggiate a cavallo, e i pasti tipici cucinati con il cuore (le attività sono un pochino più care rispetto alla media locale 6/15euro ma contribuiscono ad aiutare la comunità che non sta avendo molto turismo ). Che dire siamo rimasti innamorati di questo posto e dell’impegno che Fabiola e l’intera comunità ci mettono, peccato che abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte di cammino per Guamote.

Muy bien organizados, muy facil llegar desde la carretera, solo se desvia unos 10 minutos. Muy limipio, comodo, tranquilo, la comunicada muy amable, rica comida, cama comoda, buenas cobijas calientes, bano caliente, exclente nivel para turismo comunitario
