Being in Mary’s house is like stepping back into your childhood days when you’d stay with your granny - sleeping on a comfortable mattress with soft pillows, swaddled in clean, chintz sheets and waking up to the sound of laughter and a hot breakfast sizzling downstairs. Mary is a warm and charming person and we very much enjoyed our chats with her. She is very open and accommodating and a wonderful cook! The room is comfortable and has everything you’d need. Don’t let the idea of a shared bathroom deter you - we never had to wait to go and it was always clean and fresh.

Nice spacious room, plenty of bedding and a kettle.

Access to kitchen would have made it better, and there is a particular smell to the house and bedsheets, but they were all clean.

Mary was brilliant, couldn't do enough - the vintage style of the property is definitely a big plus, along with the animals 😀

Mary was an excellent host! She sent us constant messages about arrival times, making us feel welcome, and our tea and breakfast preferences. The house had traditional and original decor, a beautiful garden with fragrant flowers—one of the best welcomes I've ever had!
