Ya'ax Hotel Boutique

We loved our stay here, the room was gorgeous and they were super generous with the included mini bar and snacks. The breakfast was incredible and the location was just a few streets from the centre, as soon as you walk through the door you are in a complete oasis. It’s a perfect escape from the heat.

Some of the decor was less chic than ideal

It was very peaceful. The staff was attentive. The rooms were cool (amazing A/C) and clean.

We happened to be right next to the service closet, which we could hear sometimes. The staff were very discreet and hardworking so I feel bad even saying anything - I think it was just luck of the draw where our room was located. One thing I would recommend is lowering the background music to a minimum in the morning hours. It's pretty low volume anyways but since the rooms have a lot of open air components the music bleeds into the room.

Outdoor space, staff employees friendly

Mold on food (e.g. repetedly berries at breakfast), a/c unit not serviced in a long time (smell of mold once turned on), safe in room broken, dirty/stained towels, low water pressure (especially troublesome for long hair), generally good idea regarding design but clearly getting up in years, ubication (close to the city center but not in the city center as expected!) - all that for a quite high price comparinh to MX standards!
