Kings Village Sigiriya

The facility is located off the main road of Sigiriya - a 5 minute drive by the lake takes you to the accommodation. Each room is separated from the others so you get plenty of privacy. Also, the rural surroundings are lovely if you are looking for some peace and quiet. I unfortunately did not have any AC in my room (I had booked the non-AC room) so it was difficult to survive in the heat. The hostess graciously provided me with a fan. My room was newly built so it was clean. The hostess is one of the nicest people ever, catering to any and all needs at all times. She prepared us packed breakfast since we had to head off to Sigiriya Rock early morning. The breakfast at the premises was lovely as well. Overall, a 10/10 experience if you can manage to arrange for travel to and from the hotel

The free WiFi did not work. The hostess helped me out by putting a router in my room but there was no WiFi. Not a big issue all things considered.

Breakfast was great. Great Communcation, Good Service!

The location is a bit far away, maybe you should rent a scooter, then its no problem!

The rice paddy field is definitely the highlight of this hotel—a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and unwind, with peacocks, cows, and other birds occasionally adding to the experience. The food is outstanding, especially the local cuisine and we loved the fresh jackfruit picked from their own tree and served to us. With a lake just a short walk away, the whole stay was a truly relaxing and wonderful experience.

The rooms were not cleaned daily and we were disappointed to find that AC was not included in the Standard Room and required an additional charge, while it was included only with the Deluxe Room. As the weather was hot and humid, AC was quite necessary, so it would be better if the hotel clearly mentioned the AC inclusion and additional charges when booking. Apart from this, we had a good overall experience.

The room was very big and the surrounding were all green.

The location was hidden between the jungle, near a lake. There were wild animals roaming around on the way early morning and late night. Going to the rock was risky from this stay. No food options. There is no where to cook and no restaurant nearby. Hotel offers only breakfast. Lady that runs the place is very rude. We begged for food then she made simple dinner for us.
