The location was great. Lovely walk to the village and Sun Inn pub (lovely food). Cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. Fantastic views.. lots to do in the area. Very close to wildlife park and Bassenthwaite lake and within easy reach of Keswick. Access to cottage was simple and easy with clear instructions sent in good time.
Garden access would have made this perfect but knew that when booking. Also we had no issue parking in the layby until the last night. Could not have parked in the row due to another car being there and would have meant blocking neighbours car in. Ended up having to park in a neighbouring cottages parking area and leaving a note.

The location was stunning. Absolutely beautiful. It was lovely to have birds nesting close by too that we could watch. It was very quiet and the little hamlet of Bassenthwaite is very pretty.
I can't say we didn't like this as such, but it would have been nice to have had access to the garden, which we didn't have.

View from back windows. Clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Shame no garden to use. The garden to the other cottages was beautiful.

Lots of walking all abilities fantastic views
There was something under the bunk bed that shouldnt have been there,the fridge door opening unexpectedly is a nuisance and the house door is hard to unlock. Folding chairs for outside are by dustbins on a slip rd. Car has to be parked on layby a bit away.Wonderful views from windows but not really of lake.Opened window to enjoy view and discovered the neighbours sunbathing in the garden we could not get to,closed it again as we could hear their conversation.
