Victoria hotel is in a great location and all the staff are welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they all work together as a team we had a really good experience and will return
The only downfall at the hotel is the parking for some reason the people that live in the area think it’s fine to park their cars at the hotel while they go shopping etc and no one does anything about it so when you return after a day out there is no where to park and you end up in a car park and having to pay it would only take a notice resident parking only and none residents that park there will be clamped

Staff very welcoming, friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. The restaurant was spacious and meals were varied and good value. The public areas were also very clean and tidy. The patio area was large with plenty of seating, and with a pleasant view of the strait. A desk-top fan in the room was a welcome extra!
The room was small, but adequate for a short stay (little storage space, particularly for hanging clothes). The heated towel rail was not working, which caused the wall sockets to trip on a couple of occasions and although the fault of the towel rail was reported on day 1, it had not been repaired by the time we left 6 days later. The room was not cleaned or checked on a number of days, although someone had been in and given us clean cups!
We had not realised that there wasn't a lift. The second floor seemed a long climb...

The rooms are small, but really cosy, and well appointed. The staff were lovely and breakfast was really tasty. Also, I'm not sure if it was due to the time of year. But the pub, restaurant would quieten down very quickly after 10pm.
Having paid quite a lot of money, it would have been nice if one of my colleagues wasn't given an accessible room, which was decidedly average.
I wasn't a fan of the coffee bags at breakfast. It seems like a huge waste of money and waste. Surely it must be cheaper to either use a coffee machine, or make a proper coffee.
Dinner at the pub was very average.
