The location is absolutely stunning, with near private access to a beach, and the hotel is very beautifully designed. The experience is well curated, and the (vast) staff is very nice and extremely competent. The restaurant is also very good. The obsidian spa provides a unique experience, we very much enjoyed our massage and bath treatment. Special thanks to Stella for the wonderful and attentive massage.

We didn’t have a car, and the taxis are very expensive due to the remote location and dirt road (80€/trip). On top of this expensive stay, this discouraged us from wondering around the island and we instead stayed at the hotel. The suites are beautiful and very Instagram-friendly, but not necessarily the most comfortable.

The outside of our room was very hemmed in, not an open sea view, a lot of concrete with nothing to soften it at all. It is very remote. The track was unuseable for 2 days so we couldn’t leave at all. The hotel at the end of the 4 km track is on an incredible cliff edge plateau which is full of birds, goats and the sounds of the sea. It felt very weird to have to listen to endless loops of “ibizaesque” remakes of various international pop songs from dawn to midnight. It was inescapable unless in our room. Breakfast, the pool area, the lounge area, dinner. Such a shame…. The food was very average.
