Hotel Real Colonial

I do recommend

We loved the location and being able to walk to the central plaza, restaurants and shops. Nothing too fancy, but great value and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Matresses are thin and firm, but not uncomfortable. No frills or extras, but we weren't expecting any at this price point. Very good value for the location and a well-maintained hotel. Caution: don't leave your things on the floor as one of our rooms completely flooded during the night with 1/2 inch of water (room 6 or 7). Staff said it may have come from storm water from the roof from the previous day's storm, but did not offer much by way of solution. It was out last night there, so we were leaving anyway. One backpack got soaked but everything eventually dried out. No harm done.

Great property and friendly staff.

Because staff, understandably, understand and speak little to no English, it would be helpful to have some basic information printed in English. In particular where and when breakfast is. Also, the lock on the room was flimsy and the in-room safe did not work. That said, there were no security incidents during our stay.

Very friendly staff but spoke Spanish only , very good location and value for money

The hotel is near a night club with no sound proofing and on sat night the night club played very loud music and there was very loud whistling shouting till 2 am and it was not possible to get any sleep till 2 am
