El Roble Nature Hotel & Lagoon

Big room on ground floor with nice beds and a small kitchen and porch area. Quick walk to the deck with amazing sunrise views.

Tough little road to get there. Airconditioning did not always work and the bathroom was very small.

The room was very tidy with powerful AC. The room comes with toiletries, and it has a hammock on the balcony. The property was very beautiful, clean, private, with very friendly staff. On-site chef, yum! He also speaks English which is helpful. The are are free kayaks upon request and private access to the lake. Really nice especially for the price!

It's a bit hard to find from the highway, no real sign until you're right i front of it off the main road.

The location on the lagoon is lovely. Lots of free parking. The place is a bit tired looking and could use some TLC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Our room had a kitchen with a fridge and microwave which proved a god send after spending the day roaming around. We'd bring food back to the room rather than going out again looking for a restaurant. There is a great restaurant approximately 800 meters on the highway towards Bacalar called El Taco Loco which closes at 6 pm. They do take out! We were able to book a lagoon tour and picked up/dropped off at the dock so no driving into town. The guide, Roberto, who spoke English, gave an excellent talk about the history, flora, fauna of the lagoon. The tour was one of our highlights on our trip.

The access road from the highway is very rough and bumpy so drive slowly. It's difficult to see the sign at night. If a hair dryer is important, bring your own. None are provided. Rather than using the chairs for luggage a couple of benches for luggage would be a nice addition.

Atmosphere is magic and the silence of the nature incredibile! This place is really peaceful and having breakfast in front of the laguna is magic

The welcome has been quite cold. The area is far away from the town, during the evening seems quite lonely and dark
