We were so impressed with all the “extras” this property offered! From beach chairs to boogy boards to bags to games! The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking equipment too. We loved the home. Previous reviewers said the porch furniture was stained and they had fire pit trouble but both were in top condition for our stay! One thing to note for those new to Jekyll like we were- at high tide there is no beach. The rock retaining wall prevents beach access. We had to leave the property to spend a day on the beach. There is a public access about 5 minutes away that we rode bikes to and drove to. It wasn’t crowded and had bathrooms, so it was fine in the end. But we purchased this home thinking we’d spend our days on the beach there via the property access, but it isn’t possible. We love the beach so we mostly were camped out there. Our kids went to the pool one day and enjoyed it.

The house was stocked so well but the info I received made it sound like I needed to bring a lot things. This home far exceeded my expectations.

The door handles and area around the doors were very dirty. Food such as chips and crumbs as well as rocks were under cushions in living room. We did not sit outside because the furniture in the screened in porch was very stained. Upstairs shower needs a good cleaning. Soap scum has collected in the corners of the shower. I read this same complaint from a previous renter. Baseboards throughout are dusty and dirty. Ceiling fans are dusty. This cottage really needs a good cleaning!
