Hotel Chalet Ryuo

The staff at Ryuo made this stay for us. The reception team were so helpful despite our lack of Japanese, they really made an effort to help us. They were very happy to book taxis, local restaurants (PNM is really good) and even took us and picked us up after. It was above and beyond. The breakfast canteen was Japanese food only when we were there but you can order extra fruit and other bits at cost - and such helpful happy staff all round. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel. The snow gear room was functional and secure - they offer rental gear but is a little dated (we rented form Spicy). Loved that the ski lift was 50m away :)

We were 3 adults in a traditional room - futon style beds on tatami flooring - worked absolutely fine for us. We used the Onsen daily - note the room does not have a shower (only toilet and basin) so the Onsen was the only place to wash - fine for us but be aware.

A good location

Hotel a bit hard to find.

The staff was very friendly and really nice , location was good , few minutes to the slope. We are highly recommend this to friends
