It was very traditional looking which matched the feel of the area part of Kyoto it was in.

Location is a quiet environment behind some busy places like kawaramachi-dori and Shijio
Room was large for more than 2 person
Most importantly the room we received was clean
The working area in the kitchen was not sufficient. very often we used the dining table.

We stayed in a river-view room with a beautiful, clear view of the Kamo River. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was very comfortable.

Hotel staff were amazing, and the morning breakfasts were alright! Room itself was lackluster, and everything felt cheap. No room service, but at least you can pick towels from the main lobby whenever you want and emptying your combustibles/recycling was easy enough. But there was not a full mirror, no paper towels, no hooks/racks to place towels you just used, and everything felt a bit cheap. It was nice to have a couch in the hotel though.
