Villa Campomaggio Resort & SPA

The hotel was situated just off the main road but easily reached by car. The rooms were clean and a decent size with a good shower. The spa was great and I was the only one to use the facilities whilst there. There is a sauna, a turkish bath (steam room) and a warm whirl pool, with showers and toilets. Tea and watter station with fruit to nibble on. We had dinner at the restaurant where the food and service was great.

The room was spacious and so comfortable. We loved the pool, the restaurant (pizza night was amazing!) and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. It was in a great location. We hired a car and it was literally 20 minutes from our accommodation to all the different places we wanted to visit. The wellness spa was wonderful. We loved using the sauna, cold shower, spa and steam room.

The room was incredible. I booked a suite which was well worth the upgrade. The pool area is really nice and the restaurant is great. All the staff are really friendly too. Definitely worth visiting Radda, great restaurants and a beautiful wine bar. Loads of great vineyards nearby for lunch / dinner or a tasting / tour.

I think some small things could be improved. There is no wine glasses in the room and no ceramic cups, everything is paper and covered in plastic, same in the spa. There is a lot of hand sanitiser around so it looks like COVID measures are still being adopted. Also the iron situation was strange. They don’t have proper irons or ironing boards, instead for €10 you hire this tiny little travel iron which really doesn’t work. We got some strange reason as to why they don’t lend our irons which I’ve never come across before.

The views and the friendly staff

The room and communal spaces were shabby, outdated and loosely cleaned. For the price we paid would expect more attention to details, updated furnishings and a clean duvet cover, not just a sheet.
