comfortable and clean room, nice ensuite, good breakfast
The room was on the fifth or sixth floor with a walkup - but that was expected due to the conservation status of the building, and also meant it was a little less expensive than other rooms and other hotels. Still not cheap mind you. (If you want cheap in Edinburgh you have to share a dormitory!)

EVERYTHING! The location was PERFECT! SO close to the bus station and a couple blocks to the train station. And we could easily walk to the Old Town for all the shops and restaurants. The staff were all so friendly and helpful too! Plus breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served quickly.

Great location
Crowd came out of casino over the road at 0400 - very noisy. There is a lot of traffic noise too - so take earplugs! Bathroom obviously recently refurbished- but needs snagging - not properly finished and smart new shower floods floor
