First Bungalow Beach Resort

The property had a lovely, cosy character, a large swimming pool, and was just a few metres’ walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in Koh Samui! I highly recommend this charming beach resort. It’s only a few minutes’ drive from Chaweng and has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, pharmacies and other amenities nearby. A great location with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful beach right on your doorstep.

The shower in the Deluxe Double Room wasn’t great, as the bathroom floor would flood every time we showered. The shower area is only slightly raised above the rest of the floor, and the shower curtain doesn’t do much to stop the water from spreading across the bathroom. Apart from this, everything else was great!

the private Beach was a dream. It was perfectly clean and quiet. We met so many other families there.The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our Delux room was quite spacious.

The facilities were a bit outdated. The A/C dripped condensation we asked for it to be fixed but didn’t change anything. We couldn’t sit outside our room because of mosquitoes.

Nice property on a lovely beach. Convenient location with convenience store and travel shops just outside the main entrance. Staff were helpful and breakfast good with lots of choices. Beach bungalow was very nice but there were several different types, some set back from the beach. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Lovely beach bar with very helpful staff.

We had booked 3 rooms which needed to be together as we had family groups that were to be split across rooms and when we arrived one room was a long way from the others which just did not work for our group. We eventually managed to cancel the 3rd room but had to pay a lot for extra beds to be added to the family rooms (which were very large with plenty of room for extra beds) when there was already one fixed extra bed in each of the family rooms. Seems strange to have to pay for an extra bed that is a permanent feature anyway. The pool was a strange cloudy green colour which we were not keen to use so just used the beach instead. Did not like the smelly river running through the property as it encouraged mosquitos! A drying rack would have been helpful on the terrace to dry wet costumes.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff throughout the hotel. 24/7 WhatsApp service, which is very convenient if you have questions or need assistance. Beautiful hotel, pool area and surroundings. Fantastic beach with beautiful white sand and clear blue water. Early arrival was handled very well, with shower and changing facilities available while waiting for the room. Room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Beach towels are provided and exchanged daily. Good location with easy access to the town by taxi or scooter. Breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate.

Housekeeping could be more thorough. Some surfaces, including the bedside tables and the top wardrobe shelf, were very dusty. The safe is installed very low inside the wardrobe, making it difficult to use without getting down on the floor. The refrigerator was very noisy during its cooling/defrosting cycles, including during the night. Animal droppings on the balcony were still there on my final day, despite being there since my arrival. The beach towel counter was often unattended. A small bell would make it easier to get someone's attention when staff are busy elsewhere.
