This is a charming, somewhat offbeat hotel. The rooms were fairly basic but clean and comfortable. We had a patio right outside the room and a beach and sauna directly across from the hotel. The staff was delightful, and the breakfast was light but very good.
Be aware that the fjord cruises don't stop in Balestrand.

We loved everything about our stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It was definitely one of the best places we stayed during our trip in Norway, and we would happily stay here again.

Really friendly and helpful staff, beautiful location with great views of the fjord. Comfortable room and stay. Minimalist breakfast served but enough for us! Nice cosy and homely feel of an evening.

Location is good, walkable to the town. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and chatty. Generally this place is for back packers in its vibe than older travelers or families.
The shower was a bath and not ideal, and for a while there was no hot water though it did come back and we were able to shower. Breakfast was just croissant. They were good but that’s hardly an “included breakfast”.
