Hotel Krone Lenk

Excellent stay at Hotel Krone in Lenk. The location was fantastic: the start line for the UTMB Wildstrubel Glacier Marathon Lenk, which is why I was in town, was right outside the hotel. There's also a convenient parking space just a two-minute walk away, which is free in summer. What really stood out was how accommodating the team was. Ahead of my stay I had two special requests: a very late check-in (I ended up arriving close to midnight due to a flight delay) and holding a package with my trail running poles that I'd shipped ahead so I wouldn't have to fly with them. The hotel confirmed both without any fuss, left my key at reception for the late arrival, and had the package waiting in my room by the time I checked in. Great communication throughout and a team that clearly goes out of its way for guests with unusual requests.

The beds were a bit short for me (I'm 1.85m), so my feet stuck out over the edge. Didn't stop me from sleeping well, though: I was tired enough from the trip that it wasn't an issue.

I did the booking via booking.com, either I made a mistake or booking.com did and forgot to include my son as part of the guess list. The staff were very helpful and prepare a sofa-bed for my son to sleep.

There was a continues smell to tobacco smoke, either from other room or outside the hotel. Could not open the windows without getting full tobacco smell.

Central location, good breakfast, nice staff, clean wellness area - sauna, swimming pool, jakuzzi

The heating in the room could not be controlled, similarly the boot racks in the ski room stayed cold all night, the hotel restaurant was closed.

The staff barely informed us about the facilities The breakfast was very horrible. The eggs tasted like something poisonous, as I mentioned it to the staff I wasn’t taken seriously. There was no water and no staff asked us for coffee.
