Everything about the hotel was wonderful. The staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The rooftop terrace for breakfast and the garden provided a quiet space to hang about in.

Get rid of the carpet in the rooms... ours has permanent stains.

Absolutely everything! The staff, Silvia and Angela, were incredibly caring, warm, helpful and friendly. They were super communicative after I made my booking, answering my questions really quickly. Additionally, they helped arranged for a private pick-up at the Arequipa Airport, a drop-off at the Belmond Arequipa Train station and a Ruta de Sillar tour with a private guide. Every interaction with Silvia and Angela was amazing. And on our departure day, Silvia gave us a home made birthday card and present. The hotel itself was so beautiful and full of culture. Our room in the courtyard was very clean, enormous, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The water in the shower was always hot too, which we appreciated. The breakfast was amazing! Each day the breakfast menu changed, ranging from freshly made to order eggs, hot food, fruit, coffee, tea, freshly made fruit juices, yoghurt and cakes. It was the best breakfast ever! And the roof deck where breakfast was served had the most spectacular views of Arequipa city, including of Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. And, the two ladies who made the breakfast were super friendly and nice, caring that you had enough food. The location was the absolute best. It was walking distance to everything (Carmen Alto Viewpoint, Mercado San Camillo, Santa Catalina etc.), but also perfectly far enough where you didn't have to listen to all the music from the other hotels and roof top bars. Finally, the resident turtle! Seeing him slowly move around, being well looked after by Silvia and Angela (they left food and water for him, and each night covered him with a blanket) and enjoying his turtle life, was lovely. If you are planning a trip to Arequipa, this is the place to stay. I would definitely stay here again, and even go as far as booking this hotel first, and then my travel to ensure I get to stay here again.
