Villa Sonia Ubud

Quiet, both pools and friendly staff

Just needed a water cooler, to fill you water bottle up

The room was phenomenal. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were wonderful

Need to book early for dinner at the hotel as the kitchen can not cater to many tables at a time

This property was close to the city center of Ubud (50 min walking distance but it was the same time with the car). The staff showed us a shortcut close to monkey forest that helped us to shorten the time spent walking. We liked the room design and the free bottles of water that we were provided each day for brushing our teeth. We also received welcome drinks and 10 mins of welcome massage.

We enjoyed the fact that the property staff made sure that we are “free” from mosquite bites, but the fact that they had to enter in the room each evening to set this, was desturbing.

If you want to relax and unwind this is the place for you. Their staff are always happy to assist you. The area is covered with beautiful plants and trees. Staff mentioned that monkeys usually come and visit. And yes we've seen one at the back of their property. Luckily we stayed on the villa near the entry. They suggested not to leave your door and windows open. Complimentary breakfast was included. Their waffle and banana pancakes are my favourite with papaya and pineapple jam. They will also cook eggs according to your liking. They also have a spa massage inside the villa. There are various places to eat and a mini mart on the same street.

There was a smell when ever we drain the water in the bathtub.
