Ecolodge La Palmeraie

A super relaxing hotel outside of ouarzazate set within a palm grove. Had all the amenities you needed for a comfortable stay and with breakfast included.

Location was a bit out in the middle of nowhere, which is our fault for not looking at the area more closely before booking, so you were limited to eating at the restaurant at dinner to avoid driving in the dark. Breakfast was not replenished quick enough and baby chair did not seem to be cleaned between uses although there was a baby chair so this was a bonus. Both my child and myself were electrocuted by one of the lamps in the bedroom and when we informed reception they shrugged it off and checked the lamp to say it was fine and it was the child fault - needless to say we ended up unplugging all lamps and putting them away to avoid any further incidents. There was also an ant problem around the hotel and room, with ants often running around the bathroom, shower and bedroom, so a hotel to avoid if you don't like bugs.

We enjoyed our stay! Helpful and friendly staff. The garden was beautiful and pool refreshing. The staff recommended a wonderful 1+ hour walk through the farmland across from the resort which had date palms, olive trees, fig trees and so much more! Dining at the resort was also nice with great outdoor seating for dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

Laidback atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful and peaceful place. Generous breakfast.

Lack of proactivity when it comes to serving customers around the pool…easy money to be had.
