Tambun Sari Beach Homestay

Great room/bungalow, great bathroom and great owner. AMAZING view in front of the bed, Great Window door to appreciate it anytime. Good AC. Really good wifi, I worked remotely 2 days, apparently it depends on the time, but what I had was the best wifi in Amed (I did another hotel) since you have a wifi box shared only by 2 rooms. Worked even better than 5G, great for video meetings for all the digital nomads. Sleeping with the sound of the waves. The only thing is most of the night (friday and Saturday for me), different restaurants on the main road have live music nights, which can be heard to your bed. But with good days of diving you sleep like an angel nonetheless.

This is not much of a problem but since the bottom of the door is not hermetic it let’s ants get in. The good think is there is a great mosquito net on the bed.

The view from room was to the ocean. You can go from the bungalow, take a swim and chill. It is directly on the beach. Sleeping is amazing with the sound of the waves.

I guess the place is more rundown than I expected from the photos. Still, it has its charm, since the location is so beautiful. Owner is a really nice guy.

You can’t get closer to the beach than this. Simple but clean accommodation, but you are staying here to wake up on the beach. Walking distance to everything in Amed beach. Putri an awesome host with excellent English and prompt communication at check in/checkout

Roosters nearby may wake you up if you are a light sleeper but didn’t bother me as I am early riser

It was glamping at its finest. Netting around the bed helped keep the bugs and critters off of you while sleeping. The host was friendly and personable. Beautiful sunsets, but a rocky black sand beach.

If you are looking for luxury with a water view…this wasn’t it. Outdoor shower inside the unit without air, lots of bugs! A new cockroach in the bathroom every morning. Open rafters around the ceiling that allows bugs, gecko’s and stray cats to enter. If you go please feed the homeless beach dogs. I traveled all over Bali and the cost was not aligned with other nicer places in busier areas. The lane you walk down to get there has a revine full of trash. Area is fairly poor and great food was hard to find. Try Rimba’s , which was the best I could find in the area. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to do there unless you snorkel or scuba dive and hanging on my patio to do some online work couldn’t happen because of construction pounding daily with no privacy. Men walking past 50 times per day. Unable to lay in my bathing suit on my own patio. Too much traffic.
