The best-equipped kitchen I have ever seen in the dorms of Lyon (and I have seen several)! And the way the staff manages the place is also exceptional: they claim that they all have the same say in the decisions and gain the same profit from the business – and even though there is not a boss or a manager to give commands or at least choose the direction, the place is so clean and works excellently.
I had no signal in the building and the WiFi is not great, at least it did not work with my devices (my connection broke very often and I had to reconnect every time through a captive portal, submitting my email address and possibly accepting the Terms of Services again and again).

Room was nice and clean. Great shower. Lovely staff.
Bed not so comfortable after a few days. I wish I'd known that I could use the big fan in the room. I thought it said "Ask the staff to turn it on for you". I used my small portable one instead, cos I'm shy.

Such a great hostel! Really cool setup, very helpful staff, and clean, cosy common areas and rooms. I only spent one night in a 12-bed female dorm, which was totally fine. Everything felt welcoming, and the people were friendly and mindful of others. And the area is great!

The staff was really helpful and friendly. I reached 6 in the morning and the check in time was 3pm. I was exhausted and sleepy. The girl at the reception gave me the couch to sleep and I couldn’t be more thankful to her. Also, I was really cold at night, so another staff member gave me one more blanket.
The location, the crowd, the beds made noise and were shaky, the hostel looked shady, people stole food even after labelling, the heater the room didn’t work, the guests in the room had no respect for other sleeping guests.. I can go on!
