Mahagiri Resort Nusa Lembongan

We were part of a very large group all holidaying at this resort. The staff were very accommodating - the location was great. I would highly recommend this resort if you are travelling with a large group. The pools were lovely and relaxing - staff attentive serving drinks and food. Easy walk down the main street to shops/bars/restaurants and massages. Or hail a driver out front to take you around the island to the different beaches.

No complaints really. There wasn't much hot water to the shower - but with the climate it didn't overly concern us. Just a note that we didn't swim in the ocean out the front of the resort due to the coral.

It was decent

It was absolutely the WORST WiFi ever. No matter what, it didn’t work. Kept kicking us off. But the staff was always willing to help. But it was impossible

The hotel has a very nice beach. Compared to the other beach otels on Nusa Lembongan which tend to occupy a narrow piece of land with all rooms crammed together, this hotel is at the end of the main road and occupies a bigger plot which means the beach is nice and quite. However due to stronger currents there is less access to the sea.

Prepare to live from your suitcase. The room had 1 bar with 5 coathangers and a small table underneath. No cupboards or shelves so unpacking is not an option. This is probably fine if you are staying for 2 nights but not very nice if you are staying for a week. Fortunately the hotel staff were able to provide at least a few extra coathangers but we ended up with 1 suitcase open on the little table and one just laying on the floor the whole time. I can understand that cupboards are considered a bit of a health risk these days but then at least provide some open shelves. The room was more than big enough to accomodate some. To be honest this seems to be an issue with many hotels these days.

Breakfast was good.

I had requested several times via email not to be on the very top floor as I have bad knees and there is no lift. When we arrived we were on the top floor. Made the stay unenjoyable. Also not enough chairs around the pool. As you could not swim at the beach most of the time we were there due to the low tide, the pool chairs filled up quickly. I would suggest bringing some of the lounge chairs on the beach back to the grassed areas closer to the pool. Drink prices at the bar were expensive and better off going to another bar on the beach a bit further up. There was also no english speaking channels on the TV. Not that we watch TV much but at night sometimes you want to catch up on news.
