The food was fabulous. The family vibe from the staff was wonderful to observe, they truly care for each other. I liked that a lot. There is a terrace for private use, for each individual room. Beds were comfy and the room was large. They are extremely pet friendly and its a quiet rural location. There is free parking. If they could secure each individual terrace with fencing, I could of let my dog off lead, but he is young so I wasnt sure whether the borders to gardens are secure. I enjoyed watching the rooster in the morning, I think i woke him up!!

It is an old property so be aware there are quirks. I had a panic to start as couldnt get the sliding door to lock, but once I calmed down, I jiggled the door and it locked tight. The plug sockets were not near the bed at all which I didnt like, but it was a 1 night stop off, with my dog. I coped! The rooms definitely need a kettle, and coffee/tea/sugar as the bar/restaurant/reception is open limited hours.

The location was convenient for a stopover. The manager was helpful, and having breakfast ready before we hit the road was nice. The coffee and croissants were delicious.

Extra beds are not prepared for same-day bookings, so we had to set up the sofa bed ourselves, which was not very comfortable. The room was small, needed some maintenance, and there were quite a few mosquitoes.
