The location of the hotel.

The bed was small and uncomfortable, we asked for extra pillows as the bed had only one pillow each side which were flat.it took a long time for the staff to bring us the requested pillows. I had to go to reception and ask them a second time for the pillows .

A comfortable bed for the night. The room and en-suite were clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the area; the coast and Porthceri Country Park are within walking distance, while bus-stops and the railway station are just down the road. Nearby is High Street with a lovely selection of independent shops.

No kettle or hot drink making facilities, which was disappointing and, from my previous experience of "budget" rooms, quite unusual. The basin plug was missing the central fittings so was no longer a plug as it had a hole in the middle! The room was quite austere and might have benefited from a picture or two on the walls.

Needed an overnight stay before Wales V Denmark,the hotel is within a short walk to Barry station then a 20 mins train ride into Cardiff, close to pubs etc, I, liked the room especially as it had (adult) windows that you can actually open yourself. Room was clean and comfortable, ideal for overnight, staff were polite and helpful, also had a cosy bar/lounge, also first come first served limited parking, would definitely use again. It's also easier to get to CCFC from Barry than it is from some areas of Cardiff.

For some reason the kettle and tea/coffee making facilities had been removed from rooms the previous week. Should remain as standard,even if they charge a little extra.

Staff were very kind...location very good..my room was fair bearing in mind the cost but very basic nonetheless
