location and breakfast being personally served by staff
Room was small

We had a really pleasant stay. The staff were wonderful, very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit, which made a big difference.
The room and restaurant were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was quite basic, but perfectly fine if you enjoy a simple breakfast with the essentials. There was enough for a good start to the day.
The only thing that was a little below my expectations was the bathroom size. I understand this is quite common in smaller hotels, but for me, having a little more space makes a real difference to the overall comfort of the stay.

Different room shown but it was spacious enough for 1 person. Convenience of the location to food, train, and the Cologne cathedral.

The room was great for the price. The bed was comfortable and despite being basic and a bit dated quite clean. Bathroom was very clan if dated.
One bathroom for 4 rooms led to congestion in the morning :) the room was very warm with no cooling but the room cooled quickly once the window was opened.
