Eurohotel

We stayed at this hotel on two occasions, before and after a short trip to Maramures. We had chosen it because of its proximity to the train station, which meant that it was a good 30 minutes walk into the Old Town, but it was nice weather and we needed the exercise! Our room was comfortable, the bathroom had a great shower, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit meat-heavy for our vegetarian tastes, but we found enough to keep us happy - the yoghurt in particular was delicious and there was fresh cake! We also had a meal at the restaurant when we arrived late-ish on our first evening., and it was inexpensive and tasty, with palinka on the house!

The room was clean and well heated (given the winter time). Breakfast is ok, served in the hotel's restaurant. AC available but did not use it.

A lot of noise from neighboring rooms was audible, sometimes at 2-3AM, making sleep impossible. The rooms are not soundproof - other times I was lucky enough not to have occupied rooms nearby, but now the occupation was higher.

Price was fair

Swimming pool was closed. The hotel was almost empty, it feeled like they want to close it. It would need refurbishing.
