Casa Geranio

The location is absolutely stunning and perfect to discover Rio. The personal service of the team was excellent. Nothing was too much for the team to help us with. The breakfast was extremely generous and one of the best ones we ever had. They attended perfectly to our allergies and were very careful to check if everything was OK. Great support as well with carrying the luggage up and down. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and already look forward to come back.

If I have to mention one thing, I noted a shoulder and back ache every morning after waking up, which went away after we left. The beds might be worth a check up to see if the mattresses still provide the required comfort.

The views are amazing, our room was lovely and the staff is very friendly. We arrived very late at night due to a travel delay and they have been very flexible with their check in hours. You are located really close to some tourist attractions but also the centre of Santa Teresa, its boutiques and restaurants/bars.

Breakfast was a little overwhelming as you just get served everything without a warning and the portions are relatively big. It would maybe help to give guests a menu where they can chose the parts of the breakfast they would like (vegetarian/vegan). Would also help reduce potential food waste. This however does not take away from the overall very good stay we have had at Casa Geranio!!

Wonderful, comfortable stay. The included breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The views from the pool are absolutely stunning.

The only thing to note that it was a little difficult to find Uber drivers willing to travel to Casa Geraniol. This was not a problem since we could always catch a taxi within a minute or two of waiting outside but just something to note. Also, the stairs are steep and narrow which was not a problem for us but something to note for people with mobility issues.

The breakfast was great.

The location is a bit far and rough area. No lifts so high hike upstairs. Limited facilities like no hot water for tea or coffee. We had to carry our own luggage to the bottom as there is nobody around early in morning and we did advise that we were leaving early.
