Clean and comfy, very friendly staff, good location (not right in the tourist hotspot but also not too far away). We really enjoyed our stay here.

It was calm and peaceful.

We loved how special it was! Most of the furnishings and wood pieces are all from the original structure. Futons were extremely comfortable and the room was very spacious. The host is so kind and makes the best coffee! There are also bakeries down the street that open early and have the best breakfast pastries! If you’re in Kyoto for a few nights and want a quiet comfortable stay, this is the perfect place!
Nothing. We loved it all!

Location is good, and the room is relatively spacious
The shared facilities lack consideration. There is only one sink and one shower to be shared . Also it smelled bad with fried food in the mornings
